And the day has come...

Aralynnes 1st day of Preschool

 

 

I'm amazed at how fast these three years just flew before me. Preschool is upon us, and Lynnie is exctied more than ever. As I prepare her clothes and her snacks the night before I just think to myself "Oh my goodness, how odd is it going to be with me and Ayden all alone during the day?" Also, "How is Aralynne going to be okay without me there most of the day?" These are questions I find myself answering a week later ( today) and feeling great about our decision. First, its wonderful with Ayden be my side! He loves soaking up all my attention and we play one on one alot more than we used to. Second, Aralynne is loving school, says her teacher Mrs. Parish :) Yes, it can be a little tough in the mornings, but once she settles down and starts her day, she's just fine. When we pick her up at the end of the day she is thrilled to see baby brother looking through her window waiting for her to come out :) I know there will be tons of "1st's" coming ahead & can't wait to see what beautiful plan God has in store for us!

Dinner night in NYC

From the day we landed here in New York, I've soaked up so much about this magnificent city. It's alive and busy, the people are always moving. As congested as it is, there's always time for a nice peaceful dinner. Last night we had reservations at Carmine's in Times Square. It's an amazing Italian restaurant that serves family size platters of food that serves 3 - 4 people! We ordered stuffed mushrooms and chicken parmigiana = nonstop deliciousness! Omg I left with my belly totally stuffed! A must if you are in the area :) its morning now, & must get up, and get dressed for breakfast! Good day everyone! :)

This evening was full of running and playing as we stopped by the park for some exercise. Lynnie, friendly as always, made some new friends too! Ayden loved sliding down the slide over and over... And over :) As for me, I did a mile and a half! Yay me! I've fallen off the wagon & must find my way back soon! Here are some momentos from our evening ...

A fun day at the beach! (1st time for the kids)

Okay, I have not been a loyal blogger, tisk tisk I know, but I have soooo much to post! Like Aralynnes third birthday pictures (can't believe my baby girl is 3 years old!) time flies! But there's no time like the present, so I'm posting some pics of today's adventure. The beach... I love it so. If I could, I would live there. After the Texas State Aquarium we took to the beach where we splashed and searched for seashells! I loved seeing how much Ayden enjoyed himself! He would get so excited when the waves would crash against his legs :) Meanwhile, Aralynne was more occupied by searching for the perfect seashell! It was overall a beautiful day with our family :) glad we had this time together before we leave to NYC Thursday! Eek!

 I cant believe its been a whole year since I carried you in my arms for the very 1st time! Your such a marvelous blessing upon our family. You have made us complete. I cant even imagine you not being with us. We all adore you Ayden Jace. Sweet faced & always joyfull, I am beyond proud to be your Mommy. I love you all my days & will always protect you from harms way. You have changed me, for now I know whats it like to be the Mother to a perfect baby boy. Your birthday is annually, but the love your family has for you is eternally.

Fill in the Blank Friday #3

1. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is,   look at my phone to see what time it is, since I dont need an alarm anymore .

2. I can hardly wait for   this summer! Lots of mini vacays coming up with the kids & Im sure we'll have a blast!

3. The quickest way to my heart is     a massage  because     it simply relaxes me & puts me in a wonderfully calm state of mind.

4. A little known fact about me is that I strive to experiment in kitchen as much as I can. Whether it be for myself, family dinners, or Aydens baby food. I love coming up with a variety to keep it fresh!

5. The best part about my job is I get to notice all the little things about Aralynne & Ayden that are changing every day. Sometimes I miss going to a job every day, but being a stay at home mama is such a blessing and I am so thankful that AJ works so hard so that I can do this .

6. Something I just couldn't live without is our parents. They help us much with our babes so much.

7. Something useful that I wish I knew how to do is sew. Today I fell in love with this little dress while perusing Pinterest and I think it is reason enough to buy a sewing machine. In actuality I'm pretty sure I would suck at sewing, so maybe someone else can just sew it for me?

3rd Anniversary

Today is our 3rd Anniversary of being married & making memories together as husband & wife. I'm so lucky to have my Aj. He makes us have a life to be grateful for. He supports me & encourages me in everything I do. He is my biggest fan. And I am his. He loves me unconditionally, even at my worst moments, he truly sees past all. He is the shoulder I cry on & he listens tentatively. He is my Husband.

We celebrated tonight by going out to dinner & totally celebrating May 12 in San Antonio for the weekend! yay!

Tonight was child free (thank you Momo & Popo) , nice & quiet. All through dinner I received pics of my long haired little monkey boy :) ( No, I will not be cutting his ANY time soon! ).... Aralynnie was probably running around laughing crazily. Just a guess.

To end the night we came home & I put baby Ayden to bed. I had a hard time putting him down. I just love to hold & cuddle with him in the rocking chair. Caressing his face & silky hair. Finally putting him down &  tucking miss Lynnie in for bed. Read bedtime story...stories, and a kiss & a few tickles later all lights are off. Except the computer of course. Good night & sweet dreams to all!

Wednesdays Blessings

Today we had Aydens first physical therapy session for his neck & I'm so happy to report his condition is very mild. She said I was such a good mommy doing everything before she even told me what to do. I have religiously been stretching and stretching with him.  :) For those who don't know whats going on, about a month or two ago I began to notice Ayden favoring a side his neck to lean on. He tends to tilt & favor his right side, it becomes very pronounced when I hold him. This concerned me. Being a very pre-cautious mommy, I quickly asked his pediatrician what she thought and what should we do. She referred us to the physical therapy center at Driscoll Childrens Hospital. So, Heidi ( PT) said she vaguely noticed any severe problems & he could return in a month if it were to persist. I thank God that my baby Ayden is doing much better from the very first day that I noticed anything. He is so bubbly & affectionate and always brings a smile to my face. He is certainly blessed with great health and a beautiful future to dream big. I thank God everyday for my babies and our family.

The Poteet Strawberry Festival

So this weekend we had the pleasure of going to the Poteet Strawberry Festival! It was Lynnies 2nd & Aydens 1st! They both had an amazing time & were so pooped afterward.

1. Today is a good day because   I'm actually getting things done around the house. Much cleaning to do!

2. The best thing I did all week was   taking the time to read. The series is spellbounding me. I become enveloped in all the stories.

3. The current weather is     sunny & breezy  and it makes me feel     happy & light hearted.

4. The best thing about spring is    the wildflowers! I love taking the kids outside to take pictures!

5. A fashion trend that I'm dying to try out for spring is  Torquious. Torquious nails & matching toes. Browns would go perfectly.

6. A person who made me smile this week was   Nicole. Shes so funny & always knows what to say when I'm done & out.

7. The most delicious thing I ate all week was   actually this morning. I made myself plain oatmeal with flax seeds, topped of with raisins & cinnamon. :) Delish!
