Ayden Jace

9 Months
You are such a wonderful happy go lucky baby boy! You are always happy and smiling. You have grown so much before our very eyes and I can’t even imagine you will be 1 year in May! You get into everything now! You’re a mighty fast crawler and a smooth sneaky furniture cruiser. You climb up to stand and usually steal your big sisters food when she’s not looking.J Family and friends are always around you and you just love being held by everyone.
Foods
Brown rice cereal is a staple in your healthy diet. I make all your foods for you so you get the very best fresh start. Your first solid food was sweet potatoes ( just like big sister Aralynnes was). Let’s see, so far you’ve have tried sweet potatoes, white potatoes, carrots, bananas, green beans, peas, eggplant, cauliflower, squash, avocado, chicken-avocado, turkey-brown rice ( which you loved!), kale (not so much), plums, peaches, asparagus, cottage cheese, broccoli, cantaloupe, and turnip. You usually have organic brown rice cereal with a fruit in the mornings. Your favorite is banana J Your snacks include Cheerios “0”s, Happy Bellies Puffs, Happy Bellies Melts, shredded cheese and diced fruits. You do have a yogurt sometimes.
Milestones
You started army crawling at 7 months and full on speedy crawling at 8 months. You are so fast! Between 7 to 8 months you began to pull yourself up holding on to the couch or me! During the day you love to pull up to the kids table and knock over all the chairs! You little sneaker! You’re so funny to watch. I love you. And now at nine months you began to say “dada”. Your first word!! How wonderful. You babble babble babble all day and just love being with me. Separation anxiety has been relatively high lately but I know you just want me near. You understand so much and are learning new things every day.
Likes & Dislikes
You just love to cuddle with me or daddy. You and daddy are always watching TV together J Oh, and you also sneak off into big sister Aralynnies room to play. Sometimes she’ll yell “baby’s in my rooooom!” but most of the time she loves playing with you in her room. You also like being in your walker watching me cook and clean in the kitchen. Your favorite TV shows are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse & Little Einsteins on Disney Junior and Jacks Big Music Show, Bubble Guppies & The Wonder Pets on Nick Jr. Most naptimes and bedtimes are initiated by feeding you a bottle and rocking you to sleep. You can hold your own bottle but I always want to hold it for you (Daddy gets mad at me). I want to baby you as much as I can!  You still take a paci but are becoming more independent without it. You’re growing up into a delightful little boy. Bath time is so much fun for you. Usually Aralynnie will join you and you two have a bubbly blast together. The weekends are great: The mornings are started by you and sister cuddling in bed with me and daddy. We love loving on you two so much! You also love being in the car looking out the window in your new big boy car seat. So many things I have to be thankful for and you are at the top of my list! I treasure everyday with you love.

The Birth: May 4th, 2011

Ayden was born in Corpus Christi, Tx at SpohnSouth Hospital. I decided to deliver there since I loved my doctor, Dr. Shelton. Mrs. Shelton had also delivered my brother about 10 years ago! :) She had such a gentle soul & I knew she'd be a perfect fit for birth plan. I had gone in for a routine weekly checkup and I began to have contractions. She suggested  we admit into the hospital and have our baby today! Thrilled i immediately agreed.
It was a long evening getting things ready and telling our families that Ayden would be arriving a little sooner than we planned. I was 38 weeks. 1:41am precisely. I watched admiring him getting all washed up, weighed, and making his first little footprints for his birth certificate. Daddy stayed with us that night while big sister Aralynne stayed with Grandma at the hotel. Lucky duck :)
Aralynne was such a proud big sister on our way home. She also just stared at him and called him 'baby'. I remember telling Aj on the way home, "Stop driving like a maniac! & Why are there so many bumps and potholes?!" Anxious mommy trying to make it home to Beeville. We have a princess & we now have our prince.
