Aralynnes 1st Birthday!

The theme was Strawberry Shortcake...so cute! She was so excited to see all family and friends gathered just for her. Food consisted of BBQ'd burgers and hotdogs, chips and dips. The beautiful cake you see is courtesy of Miss Myrna. Oh how i love love love her cakes! It was yellow cake with strawberry filling plus fresh fruit with marshmallow fondont. yum! And the gifts?! Too many to count! Clothes ( lots of clothes), a rocking bouncy horse, walk along play scooter, jewelry box, a birthday girl Willow, mega bloks wonder pets set, Leap Frog musical table (thanks MaMaw), shopping cart with food & soooo much more! Thank you everyone who made this day special for us! :)

5 Months Old: First solid food on the menu? Sweet Potatoes!

• Loved them at first taste!
• Got super messy!
• I had so much fun getting messy and feeding Lynnie for the first time.

Gorgeous: The first word that came to mind when i saw my brand new baby girl that Thursday night July,30th.

I remember crying & thinking I cant wait for our first night together! I just new I would love her, like I could never imagine loving someone. Instantly love at first sight.

*Induction Day*
July 30th, 7:00am - At the hospital here in Beeville enrolling for my induction. Answers questions about my health...changing into my less than fashionable hospital gown :( & having Aj video tape every thing from the minute we got there to the cutting of the cord...
9:30am- Pitocin is started & i pray the pain isn't too too bad to handle... I also remember hating the pink and blue straps to monitor the baby's heartbeat and my contractions, they always kept wriggling into the wrong positions. & by this point I'm still at a 2 for dilation.
Somewhere around 3:00pm-   I'm STARVING...and contractions are starting to flare up. Since all I can have are ice chips..damn ice chips...I will not allow anyone to eat in my presence.
5:30pm- I am progressing & ask for my epidural :) Thank You Jesus...Most of our families are here & it means so much to us.
11:47pm- She's here. Perfect and rosy skinned. Bright eyed, taking in all her surroundings. Letting everyone love & kiss on her.

The First Night : & so Daddy Duty has begun. Aj changed her first pamper & was so scared he would hurt her. He graciously let me rest while he handled baby Aralynne. Even though I was exhausted and wanted desperately to sleep, I just couldn't. All I wanted to do was stare and adore her. I had waited 9 long months for this day/night & I couldnt just sleep through this!
